TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!
A BIG HEART CAN BE AS BEAUTIFUL AS A PERSONAL MAKE-OVER...
THIS SIX-YEAR-OLD NOW HAS BOTH.
SHE OPENED A LEMONADE STAND IN FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA...THAT DONATES TO A SPECIAL CAUSE.
HER PROFITS BENEFIT "WIGS FOR KIDS" -- A GROUP THAT SUPPORT KIDS WHO LOSE THEIR HAIR BECAUSE OF MEDICAL CONDITIONS.
SHE ALSO GIVES MORE THAN JUST HER TIME... SHE DONATED HER OWN GOLDEN LOCKS.
THE SIX-YEAR-OLD'S EFFORTS HAVE RAISED MORE THAN FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE CAUSE.
AND THEY'RE OFF TO THE RACES...
LOOKING TO EARN THE TITLE OF THE FASTEST WEINER DOG IN THE LAND.
THIS WAS ONLY A TRIAL RUN FOR THESE PUREBRED DASHCHUNDS.
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEIR TRAINING WAS ANY EASIER..
"Sometimes they'll use varying methods to get the dogs to run. Sometimes they'll have a little squeaky toy or a tennis ball. Othertimes they're food motivated."
THE TOP TWO WINNERS ADVANCE TO THIS WEEKEND'S 17TH ANNUAL WEINER DOG RACES.
THEY'LL FACE 22 OTHER PUPS SUNDAY FOR THE FINAL RACE.
IN 127-DEGREE TEMPERATURES.
IN DEATH VALLEY, A PARK EMPLOYEE FRIES AN EGG IN THE HOT DESERT SUN.
SHE WARNS TO LEAVE THE LID ON TO KEEP THE HEAT FROM ESCAPING.
MAYBE YOU CAN JUST TAKE THIS BREAKFAST BACK TO THE AIR CONDITIONING.
FOR TAKE A LOOK AT THIS, I'M SHELBY LIN.

FILE:J-C PENNEY UNDER FIRE-'BACK TO SCHOOL' ADS
J.C. Penney is coming under fire for a "back-to-school" ad that some say promotes bullying and puts pressure on families.
August 13, 2013
J-C PENNEY IS UNDER FIRE FOR A "BACK-TO-SCHOOL" TELEVISION AD.
THE AD FEATURES A VOICE-OVER FROM A MOTHER SAYING A SON'S CLOTHES COULD "MAKE OR BREAK" HIM FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR.
THE AD THEN SHOWS THE STUDENT SITTING ALONE AT A LUNCH TABLE.
SOME PARENTS SAY THE SPOT PROMOTES BULLYING AND PUTS PRESSURE ON CASH-STRAPPED PARENTS TO BUY THE LATEST CLOTHES.
THE CRITICISM COMES AFTER THE COMPANY IS ALREADY STRUGGLING.
SALES ARE DOWN AND THE COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A NEW C-E-O.
J-C PENNEY ANNOUNCED THE AD IN QUESTION IS NO LONGER PART OF ITS CURRENT TV CAMPAGIN.
THE COMPANY SAYS ITS AD WAS NOT INTENDED TO "TRIVIALIZE OR PROMOTE BULLYING."
